Shipping policy

Last updated: June 20, 2026

1. Processing Time

Most in-stock orders ship within 3–5 business days of payment confirmation. Custom configurations, made-to-order builds, and institutional/government orders may require additional lead time, which we will communicate directly after order placement.

2. Shipping Methods

  • Standard parcel items (accessories, batteries, controllers, small components) ship via standard ground carrier.
  • Large/heavy items (quadrupeds, humanoids, the PACC, and similar hardware) ship via freight or LTL (less-than-truckload) carrier on a pallet or crate. Freight deliveries typically require an accessible delivery location and may require a liftgate or loading dock please flag this when providing your shipping address, or additional carrier fees may apply.
  • AVT is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, weather, customs, or other circumstances outside our control.

3. Freight Delivery — Carrier Responsibility, Not AVT's

Once an item leaves our facility and is in a carrier's possession, AVT is no longer responsible for its condition. Any damage, loss, or defect arising during transit is solely the responsibility of the shipping carrier, and claims for transit damage must be made by the customer directly against the carrier  not against AVT.

For all freight/LTL shipments:

  • Inspect the shipment before signing the delivery receipt. Check for visible exterior damage to the crate or pallet.
  • If damage is visible, note it in writing on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing, take photos immediately, and file a claim directly with the carrier. AVT can provide shipment documentation (bill of lading, tracking/shipment ID) to support your carrier claim upon request, but does not file claims on your behalf and does not guarantee any outcome.
  • If damage is severe, you may refuse delivery; this is the fastest way to return the item to the carrier's responsibility rather than your own.
  • Signing the delivery receipt without noting damage will be treated as confirmation the item arrived in good condition. Regardless of whether damage is noted at delivery or discovered later, AVT bears no liability for damage, loss, or defects occurring during transit, and no replacement, refund, or repair will be provided by AVT on that basis. Any remedy for transit damage must come from the carrier.

4. International & Government Orders

International shipments may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, and export compliance review (see Terms of Service). The recipient is responsible for any customs fees. Orders to government or institutional addresses requiring special delivery instructions, purchase order terms, or net payment terms should be coordinated directly with us prior to ordering by contacting flywithavt@avtdrones.com.

5. Tracking

You will receive a tracking number by email once your order ships. For freight shipments, our team will coordinate a delivery appointment with you directly.

6. Lost or Stolen Shipments

AVT is not responsible for packages confirmed as delivered by the carrier's tracking that are later reported lost or stolen from the delivery location. We recommend requiring a signature on high-value deliveries, which we apply by default to any shipment over $1,000.
